Isakson Praises Trump's Move to Put American Jobs Above Special Interests

'I'm glad to see the president move the Keystone XL pipeline one step closer to completion'

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., today released the following statement applauding President Donald J. Trump’s decision to unleash American energy, create jobs and revive the Keystone XL pipeline project that the previous administration put on indefinite hold to appease left-wing special-interest groups:

“In his first week in office, President Trump is demonstrating to the American people that he is ready to seize this critical opportunity to make America an energy-independent nation. The construction of the Keystone XL pipeline will create much-needed American jobs and ensure America’s energy security – goals that I have long fought to achieve. I’m glad to see the president move it one step closer to the finish line.”

President Trump announced today that he will sign executive orders to advance the Keystone XL pipeline.
